Biodiversity Challenge Fund 2007       

GrantScape has released details of its Biodiversity Challenge Fund for 2007, and is inviting applications for projects aimed at creating, conserving or enhancing the biodiversity of England and Wales. This year's Challenge Fund has approximately £2 million available, and grants will be between £200,000 and £400,000.

Enriching Nature with SITA - Includes Regional Update       

Enriching Nature is the name of SITA Trust's funding programme for wildlife projects. It supports projects within ten miles of landfill sites (owned by any company) in England. Not for profit organisations, charities, and Local Authorities can apply.

Landfill Tax Credit Scheme        

The landfill tax credit scheme was introduced with the landfill tax in October 1996 and enables landfill site operators to donate up to 6.0 per cent of their landfill tax liability to environmental projects in return for a 90 per cent tax credit.
